Jason Bayus

Having studied at Oberlin Conservatory (BM) and Julliard, and trained by Ballroom Latin World Champions Tony Meredith and Melanie La Patin, Jason Bayus has been teaching excellence in voice and Ballroom & Latin dance for about a decade.   His clientele range from celebrities and successful performing artists to adult beginners and children.   In an effort to expose ballroom dancing to our youth, Jason has created programs and taught in the New York City school system in the hopes that future generations will rediscover the importance and the art of ballroom and social dance.   He believes that ANYONE at any age can and should learn to dance if they have the desire and passion for it.   A seasoned performer in addition to his teachings, Jason has worked with and been sought after by Tony Award Winning Broadway Directors and performers and has traveled the world in the performing arts.   You may have also seen him featured in the Latin Dance spread of Vogue Magazine partnered with Anya Garnis (“So You Think You Can Dance”).   He is pleased to announce Greenwich as his new second home to New York City, where he resides and teaches as well.   Jason looks forward to bringing excellence and the joy of Ballroom and Latin dance to the Greenwich community by instructing classes at the Allegra Dance Studio.
Jason is teaching ballroom either privately or for small groups both during the week and on weekends.
